Fold the full sheet of paper in half so that it is 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Have the children draw around their hand on paper (the fingers are together with the thumb out) the folded edge is at the edge of their little finger. Cut out the shape and glue a beak to the end of the thumb area, have the children glue torn up pieces of tissue paper all over the bird for wings.
Supplies – 1 sheet paper – not construction paper (we used light blue) Several sheets orange construction paper to cut out beaks White tissue paper glue
