Sample Recipes for honor OK, I confess another reason that there is now a page included for Dutch Oven cooking is that I wanted to learn to use the Dutch oven that I have. So I guess while I'm learning I'll write about it. So far I have my Dutch oven, a metal oil pan so that I don't have to make a mess of the ground and a bag of charcoal. I also have a bunch of recipes that really look great that I want to try out this year. But first things first: When you purchase a Dutch oven make sure that it is a camp Dutch oven. This type has a flanged lid that will hold the charcoal coals on it, and help keep ashes from falling in the pot when you are checking the food. Another thing to look for is one that has integral legs for campfire and fireplace cooking. Here are several links that will help get you started.
