Rocktown, Pigeon Mountain

From US 27 in LaFayette, go west 2.8 mi. on Ga 193 to Chamberlain Road. Turn left and go 3.4 mi.; turn right (at the Crockford-Pigeon Mountain WMA sign). Pass the Department of Natural Resources check station and continue on the gravel road. This will wind its way up to the top of Pigeon Mountain. Go about 5.5 mi. on this road and turn left. There is a sign which reads "Rock Town" although you have to look closely for it. Road ends after .7 mi. at the trailhead. A very easy one mile. trail leads to the boulders.
