Because of the logistics of needing a lot of supplies for many children on a limited budget it's important to keep the crafts very simple.  Crafts done during VBS programs at churches are often too complicated to be completed at a branch Bible school.

Set up a carrying bag for each helper with all the craft supplies needed for that day.  This would include: crayons, pencils, glue, scissors, stickers, plus the supplies for that day's crafts.  Also it's a good idea to put all the crayons into a Ziploc type bag. This makes it easier to hand out and pick up the crayons from the children.
